Cinema, television and technology; artistic pillars of the 21st century.

Over the years, technology has greatly improved the viewer’s enhancement experience. Both cinema and television have evolved on a par with technological innovation and, today, there is such a strong relationship, that basically none would be what it is today without the help of the other.

Cinema, television and technology have been in contact since 1895, when the Lumière brothers gave birth to the first ever film, with no sound at the time. The seventh art, cinema came to life when technology could give it an important place, but in the background. In spite of this, today we consider cinema a technological evolution that triggered an unprecedented historical proposal, becoming a familiar and indispensable element in people’s lives. Cinema and television do not come from painting, sculpture, gastronomy or literature, but from the ability to create a sequence based on images that comes to life, with the help of simultaneous colors and sounds.

Throughout history, from film and television, to technology, they have gone through different moments: without sound, sound, black and white color to incredible productions. All this thanks to the evolution of technology and the opening of a new paradigm in society for shows and new creations.

Cinema and television will always have a central place in modern culture and the future of art, because, since the beginning of time, humanity loves to tell and listen to stories; it is just the seventh art that can make these aspirations a reality.

He uses a special technology called MAGI that allows him to turn an ordinary classic into a highly successful film.

A film with the ability to take you to that wonderful place for your mind and real for your soul at the same time. Great filmmakers have the technology to produce distinctive, cross-cutting and innovative films that make viewers want to go to movie theaters or sit in their living room and watch a big movie on TV. They have the option to use it or not, but instead, they have a limited time, with Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime and other increasingly strong streaming platforms.

Years ago, if someone wanted to watch a movie, it was more complicated because they only had two options: go to the movies or get a TV at home with a channel and be able to watch it in time. To do that, you had to be on a higher level. Today, we will most likely enjoy the new work of our favorite director or leading actress from the comfort of our home or in a movie theater.

While technology and cinema and television go hand in hand, we cannot allow them to be seen as equals. Cinema is an experience that should be used with technology as long as it can make the work more special and unique. On the other hand, if technology becomes the only basic element of the film, putting the work in the background, the relationship between cinema and technology will be broken.

In this sense, large companies in Mexico such as Cinépolis not only stand out for the premieres of more profitable films, but also because they package their experience as something totally unique. On the other hand, from home using the remote control and our television, Cinépolis also gives us great experiences from the comfort of our sofa.

Many creative concepts were born thanks to the good use of technology in cinema. The seats have been tested in circular form, so that the sound is reflected in the room, creating a 360 degree experience (immersion in different scenes, surface feeling and movie recommendations). Multiple channels are also simulated for viewers to have different experiences in different venues. Using virtual reality, you can feel the effect of the movie and integrate the scenes into the main character of the movie.
